Life Skills

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Life Skills is designed for students on the Autism Spectrum. Our students exhibit challenges in the processing of sensory stimulation, as well as extreme difficulties in effective communication, social skills, emotional self-regulation, and grade level academics. Our program provides a structured environment through visual supports, schedules/routines, and small group learning. If appropriate we provide a supported work study environment for our transition students once they have met their credit requirements for graduation. We also work daily with our students on the development of their independent daily living skills. Academic course requirements are outlined by the Department of Education for all middle and high school level students through standard diploma access point courses.
